Abstract
“Merses” is a German language abbreviation for model oriented design and realisation ofsignal processing embedded systems. The project develops a framework for small business to easily develop signal processing devices. It will enable the user to evaluate different solutions and to export implementations in hardware and software. This sub-project deals with the bus and sensor/actuator access for the Merses project. As part of this sub-project this paperpresents a general interface structure for different bus systems. This structure will be used to design a standard connection to bus interfaces from the microprocessor. The new design uses the advantages of several design patterns to increase the flexibility and power of the interface.
